Best of the Rest Archive
The Best of the Rest Archive rescues brilliant non-winning anagrams from the depths of the ever-expanding Anagrammy Archive where they might otherwise rarely be seen, and gives them the exposure they deserve. Many of these anagrams only just missed out on an Award, and many others never even made it to the voting page because of the single-anagram-per-person restriction in the short categories. If you discover a gem in the Nominations Archive that you think deserves to be included here, please send it to us. The rules for inclusion in the Best of the Rest are: |
- Only short anagrams of the highest quality will be included.
Read the Hallmarks of a Good Anagram to see if the anagram qualifies. - Known rediscoveries of old anagrams are not permitted.
- No anagrams from the previous six months of competition.
This gives time for the novelty to wear off and the anagram's status as a potential classic to be judged more impartially. - You may not suggest your own anagrams.
A panel of Anagrammy regulars (each of over 5 years standing) will discuss each suggestion and vote on its inclusion.
Updated 10th May, 2016 - 749 anagrams.
