P.P.S. Would you prefer DB's slight rewording ("A danger..."), Joe? I think it's an improvement.

Not bad, but the LOTR->Frodo connection has been made before on numerous occasions I'm afraid - probably why there wasn't any reaction to your 'gram. Sorry about that, Roger.

Best I could do along the same lines:
Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' =
Short, gentle Frodo is the link.
[not great, as "the link" needs explaining]

And it's just one letter away from "Length isn't short like Frodo". Dammit! :(

I'm enjoying my first couple of months at the forum.
The competition is tough, but friendly, and I feel honored to win my first award so quickly.
(Hope it's not beginner's luck !)

Be assured that I appreciate all NOM's and votes,
even though, to avoid forum clutter, I don't acknowledge them.

I also recently started to play at the Washington Post Style Invitational
and appeared on NPR's Sunday Puzzle segment in September, 2000.

You all are invited to use the virtual letter tiles at my
Anagram Helper

G'day [Yep, I'm an another Ozzie. (Sorry!) (No I'm not!) (sorry, that is)] -- Stuart, 14:31:00 02/02/03 Sun

Well guys,

I'm finally writing to you! I've been gobbling up all the riches on this site for a coupla years now, but apart from
some brief notes to Larry, haven't communicated with y'all. I feel I've got to know the Richards, Janet, Mey, . . .
(especially when you had the Anagrammy Members Page - BRING IT BACK!!)

The first long 'gram I saw was Corey Calhoun's "To be or not to be . . ." in Word Ways back in about 97/8. And
then to discover a previous incarnation of anagrammy.com soon after. Wow! You really are a very clever (and fun!)
bunch of peplz. I never cease to be amazed by so many of your creations. Then I was astounded after years of
poring over noms to discover that there is such a small number of voters each month. Does this exquisitely
produced site have such little exposure/usage?! Çe impossible! (or however you say it in Froggish). How many
hits a day/week do you get?

So, here I am - not, unfortunately, likely to contribute much on the creative side of things, but a well-and-truly
besotted aficionado-connoisseur of your marvellous skills. AND, from this time forth, an enthusiastic monthly
member of the voting fraternity! (Are nonanagrammers allowed to nominate?).

Well, ciao 4 nao - but for the world premičre of my first submission:

Warmest regards to all,

A warm welcome to the Forum, Stuart!

>BRING IT BACK!!)

Sorry about that, its inclusion on the site had some unfortunate repercussions so we removed it. Mind you, I truly hope you *didn't* get to know us using the information on that page... :)

Thanks for your kind comments, Stuart.

We get plenty, but not always the right kind of hits - people tend to find us when looking for something else, often specific poems from the Literary Archive but usually porn. :( For some reason the site doesn't figure very highly on search engines for the word "anagram(s)". [Any ideas how to rectify this, anyone?]

>(Are nonanagrammers allowed to nominate?).

Oh yes, feel free to nom away. But remember I have to collect them all, so please don't go nuts. :)

Masochist! Too many Os and Cs. A text like the following is much easier:

Ah, I had a vague feeling too about your name... sure enough, I came by it in an 'odd words' site not long ago.

Second that. They're really good, and raising the bar every year.

Not enough. Tell your friends. :)

Sure, nomming and voting are free for all.

Ah, so it WAS you on that site! ;)
It's allegedly a lung disease. Some extra clumsy 'gramming produced the godawful:

Plus, if I would've placed 'uncommon' somewhere, this might have been an anagram. :S

This, as well as Jesse's 'gram (which I second), are pretty much top notch.
BTW, I was impressed by the high quality of 'grams relating to the disaster, but wasn't all too surprised. It seems tragedy brings it out, as I've also witnessed more than a year ago.
