Original text in yellow, anagram in pink.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

Where the night ne'er unfolds, the quiet legends be told
By them such that thank the vein;
The sagas covert, got of glacial dirt
Where the gutless nightmares reign.
Strange memorial shore at the reservoir,
Methought quite obscene;
Set wretchedly mad, I kindled my comrade
'Neath the borealis aurorean.

When I was one-and-twenty
I heard a wise man say,
`Give crowns and pounds and guineas
But not your heart away;
Give pearls away and rubies
But keep your fancy free.'
But I was one-and-twenty
No use to talk to me.

When I was one-and-twenty
I heard him say again,
`The heart out of the bosom
Was never given in vain;
'Tis paid with sighs a plenty
And sold for endless rue.'
And I am two-and-twenty
And oh, 'tis true, 'tis true.

When she was young and nutty
Nasty Sarah Palin told:
Put 'em in the crosshairs
Don't retreat; reload!
I weaved a bridge to nowhere
An insane warden of a state
I view Russia from my windows
Wait, I refudiate.

When she was young and nutty
"Death panel" was a dig
Nunlike, mews: "You betcha!"
Feathers on a pig.
A ninny nut ran as veep
Skyways downed a moose
Indeed the tart aint witty, young
But bovine, vain, obtuse.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man ?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand ?
Yes, how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Why must savannas wither away
Only to bloom imbibed in rain?
So, why must vanished memories surface anew
Only to hide masked-off from the pain?
Why must a newborn baby bellow she's free
Only to remain safe in chains?
The answers, amen, dwell in the end
The answers dwell in the end.

Space: The final frontier.
These are the voyages of the Starship, Enterprise
Its five year mission:
To explore strange new worlds,
To seek out new life and new civilizations,
To boldly go where no man has gone before.

Wanting to be a ceaseless visionary,
when Roddenberry realizes women disapprove of Star Trek's
foolish "man"-age (the split infinitive "to go" speech),
he thereafter wisely uses "one" for The Next Generation to follow.

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Secret

If some say darkest ere it's dawn,
I say midnite.
I've found illicit taboos wan
If firewood I've herewith withdrawn.
Off forays forth familiar night
Hooded outline offers spite;
Accusation howled hot in hate:
"Douse the wick,
O curse the light!"
